Say Hello to Honey!
After a very sweet and meaningful break, I’m back!.. With a new role, a new name, a new perspective and two more amazing blessings! It’s been a crazy and beautiful Christmas as we welcomed our two babies in two healthy and happy deliveries. It was one of the biggest blessings of my life for me to have the amazing opportunity to be present for both! Early on in the pregnancies, we knew it may be a challenge to work around hospital policies and limits on visitors due to our society right now, but we learned that if you have a doula assist in the delivery, they would not count as a visitor. So I did what any determined woman would do, and I got my doula certification! (Added that to my list of things I never thought I’d do!)
So, come December 10th, I was able to witness this beautiful sight as my daughter saw her daughter for the first time…
Miss Juliet Bea made her appearance that morning, and definitely bears a resemblance to both her mama and daddy.
But her name is one of the greatest honors I will ever hold in my life.
Shortly after this sweetie got home, Abby and Beau had a newborn photo shoot at the Dogwood Cottage with Celestial Photography. And these are just s few of the great captures of their new little family…
And because God has written a story for us that we could never have written better, 9 days later, Grant and Miriam welcomed our beautiful Rosalina Marie in another perfectly sweet delivery!
It was such a sweet gesture that Miriam would invite me to be present for this delivery as well so I could witness my son see his first child for the first time. And when I took this picture, all I could see was my little 5 year old boy in this man face.
Even Poppy got to visit at the hospital this time…
The night they came home, we all welcomed them and it was so surreal to see the two couples with their two babies!
Another newborn photo shoot with this little family and Celestial Photography wowed us all again…
Christmas was amazing this year, as we had expected it would be! And the aunts and uncles and grandparents got plenty of snuggles with these two cuties!
A few days later, my grandmother and aunt came over for the day from North Carolina to visit and we had the wonderful opportunity to get 5 generations together…
What a New Year we expect it to be with these two sweeties joining our party. Our lives are changed. We’re all different because of them. My responsibilities of influence have increased once again, and I can’t wait to get to know these two little people better. They’re going to come to know Honey and Poppy and all the rest of the family very well. You’ll be seeing more of us soon! Happy New Year from us to you!
