Anyone else still have scraps of fabric from every project they ever sewed? Thia is why! Found this piece and knew it would be perfect for wreaths on my American summer porch! So I sewed some sashes for my wreaths, added some flags, and it was ready. This new mat and pillow are some recent favorite finds as well! I totally did this because big beautiful hydrangeas will always remind me of my Mamaw. My mind is blown to think I’m already at the stage where she was when I was born. I have 5 grandkids. (What?!) And our farm is just across town from my Mamaw & Papaw’s farm where so many memories were made with them and all of my family. And when my mind goes back to their house in the heat of summer, there are always hydrangeas. It’s something I love and something I want my grands to love about our farm too. So I’m out here planting future memories. Can’t wait to see how these do!

It’s safe to say my girls and I are super excited

It’s safe to say my girls and I are super excited about this! Dave asked a friend to plow and till this little plot for us along the driveway at the farm so we could have a cutting garden this year- something we’ve dreamed about! We’re all pretty new at this and we’re slowly dipping our toes into farm life, but we’re loving every bit of it. My little planting crew helped me get out zinnias, cosmos, and a very colorful wildflower mix. Dave is working on irrigation for me and we got a good rain the night after planting! Now let’s all say a prayer and cross our fingers that we will have flowers out here before too long. Stay tuned!
