This was just one more of the amazing adventures we came across last week while driving through the English countryside. This was like walking into a Downtown Abbey episode and I was in awe! The ladies of the town come together to arrange flowers for the church around a specific theme, and this year’s were in honor of different saints. Driving through these villages is like stepping back in time!

Currently still romanticizing every little thing including a glimpse of our visit to Jane Austen’s house and Chatsworth which were both so absolutely perfect. Yesterday was my birthday and I’ve come to realize that adding another year is really just adding more space to hold more people and more moments and more opportunities to love and be loved! Dave & the kids truly surprised me with a weekend of two of my favorite things — parties and putt-putt 😄⛳️ and it was perfect in so many ways. Big thanks to Abby @abbyoryan.design for creating a beautiful theme in the Dogwood Cottage courtyard and Lily @summers.in.the.studio for arranging amazing flowers and Miriam and Dave and the rest of my crew for pouring so much effort into making my life such a dream - on my birthday and every day✨

I’ve been wanting a cute American flag sweater, but I’ll tell y’all, we cannot wear a full long sleeve in the summer down South! So I found this perfect sleeveless sweater option and you will not believe the price. I used my freezer paper pattern method again just like I have many times before and it was a fun and easy project. I just drew my flag pattern with a pencil and ruler and you can too. The stripes are a simple chain stitch, and the stars are a lazy daisy stitch. If you want the details, just comment and I’ll send you instructions for how to do the chain stitch along with the supplies linked in a blog post.
