If you follow me on Instagram, you heard that the big news in our lives this weekend was that my brother and Brittany got married! You may remember when I first introduced you to Brittany when I posted here about David renovating her house! Well, soon after that, they got engaged, and now they’re hitched! So, it’s no longer just Brittany’s Rancher Reno, but Brittany and David’s Rancher Reno! They’ve been working on the house a lot more recently, and I can’t wait to share it with you all soon!
But first, the wedding! It was held at the beautiful Reserve at Bluebird Hill in Lenoir City, TN. (Click here to visit their site). It was such a gorgeous setting and everything went down without a hitch!
The decor was amazing– just the perfect combination of rustic and elegant! David and Brittany chose one of their favorite verses for the fireplace and mantel, which made a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony.
Flower arrangements made up of roses, hydrangeas, hypericum berries, and greens in pitchers and mason jars were on several tables, while others had large lanterns with greenery and pinecones.
Brittany’s bouquet was mainly white roses with the hypericum berries, rosemary, and some other greens.
The guys’ boutonnieres were perfectly matched as well and looked fabulous on their gray suits. (Ties were these from JCrew.)
Their guest book was a photo book they had printed of all their engagement photos. I loved this idea!
The ceremony was the most perfect part of it all, officiated by their pastor from their own church, where they met. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hard without my dad there. It was. But we did really well, and I feel sure he knew all about it. And the fact that my brother chose to wear our dad’s wedding band is something he would be both humbled and honored by.
Everyone loved the kiss, except all the little nieces, who said they had to hide their eyes!
And the minute the pastor pronounced them husband and wife, it was time to celebrate!
And, oh! There was a coffee and hot chocolate and cider bar brought in from Panera, complete with scones and muffies. Did I mention we were all stuffed!?
It was definitely one of our happiest moments ever, as a family. We are all thrilled to have Brittany with us now and happy that David also found wonderful family tobecome a part of as well.
And the sparklers shining in the night–could there have been a more perfect way to see them off? It was all so wonderfully fabulous!
More posts on the progress of Brittany (& David’s!) Rancher Reno are coming soon! You’lllove it!
