Hi, friends! Hope you had a great weekend. My husband, my kids & I took a day trip on Saturday to meet my sister & her crew in Asheville, NC. We spent a good part of our visit touring our favorite mansion: Biltmore Estate. No matter how many times I’ve been, it still leaves me awe-struck every time. For those of you who haven’t had the privilege of visiting, I thought I’d share a little of it with you…

Biltmore Estate was built by George Vanderbilt in the late 1800’s. And at 175,000 square feet, it’s the largest privately-owned home in the U.S.

Here are a few of my favorite rooms:

the Winter Garden…

the Banquet Hall…

Mrs. Vanderbilt’s Bedroom..

And those are only 3 of the 250 rooms in this spectacular house.

But, I think the exterior, because of the distinctly French architecture, is my favorite part…

It’s just amazing.

Near the house, in the former Stable area, there’s a gift shop, confectionary, a café, & an ice cream shop.

The estate also includes thousands of acres to explore, including beautiful gardens & mountain landscape.

Another fun part of the property is the Farm at Antler Hill Village. There are great activities for kids here, including old-fashioned toys to play with & live demonstrations.

This is where we met the Biltmore Master Blacksmith, and he showed us how he makes his signature iron leaves.

Trust me, if you’re ever in the Asheville, NC area, you’re going to want to visit Biltmore. Click here for more info.

This is not a sponsored post, & I was not compensated to share my opinion about the Biltmore Estate. I just love this place & think you will as well. I’ll be back tomorrow to tell you what other must-seewe foundin Asheville. Bye for now!
