Yep, This is Really Happening!
For those of you who really know me, you know I’m basically the Mayor of Sentimental Town and I can let myself get carried away and write an emotional post about orange juice and toast. So when the major life events occur in our family, you can only imagine that everything in my world has to stop so I can give it the full and proper completely poignant and passionate treatment the occasion warrants. And then I throw a party.
And so this happened last night…
Along with taking a trip to Ireland with the whole family (which I promise I’ll share soon), I’ve been trying to wrap my head around this event that I knew was coming. I’ve been a bit busy conspiring and planning and swooning and shrieking with this precious boy who will soon be another son to me, all the while lying my head off to Abby to try to keep it a complete surprise (which it was).

And for those of you detail-oriented, over-emotional, all-around life-celebraters like me, here’s a little tip for you: start praying now that God sends your daughter a guy that will get you from the beginning and let you be a little part of it all like Beau has me. He let me in on all the little details from the start of it, and he has no idea how much I love him for this!

So, yes! It’s been a few weeks of major stuff happening and totally worthy of even more pics and posts than this, but for now, we’re taking some moments to soak it all in, celebrate with our daughter, thank the Lord for answered prayers in the form of Beau, and then start some major planning for the next year or so. And yes! I’ll be bringing you all along, just like I always do. Thanks to so many of you who have followed so many of Abby’s other life milestones and have expressed your happiness for her here! This is going to be fun!
