Simple Valentine’s Day Tablescape
Valentine’s Day is a big day at our house. And my husband and kids are always as excited about it as I am because every year, I cook a special meal and deck the halls with hearts. Like I explained yesterday, I sorta dropped the ball a little this year, but hopefully, I’ve redeemed myself with this simple tablescape in the dining room.
Once again, I used wrapping paper as a table cover, as I’ve done several times now. But this time, I didn’t just use it as a runner. I laid 3 pieces of it across the table from side to side to cover the entire thing. Then I layered with my gold burlap runner for some sparkle.
My sister-in-law gave me some cute chalkboard place card stands for Christmas from this etsy shop, and I love them. They’re perfect for occasions like this.
And a little gold glitter ribbon with afelt heart glued on makes a great napkin ring.
The main centerpiece is just a gold vase I recently found at Marshall’s with a few white sticks and hanging hearts.
I found the heart tags in the Target Dollar Spot and added some gold stickers, also from the Dollar Spot.
I also re-used my moss heart from a couple years back in this Valentine vignette. And the “LOVE” letters seemed to be a good choice.
Hope you like it! My kids love it, but they’re even more thrilled with another snow day and the 6 inches of winter fun waiting to be had outside.
And my husband’s mouth is watering over the menu. Here’s what we’re having if you’re looking for ideas:
Filet Mignon
(Click here for my easy method. My husband’sfavorite dish ever!)
Roasted New Potatoes
Green Beans
Tossed Salad
Rolls
Brownie Hearts
with Homemade Raspberry Ice Cream
Happy Valentine’s Day, friends!

Beautiful! What a fun night for you family. They will remember that forever, how much their mom loved them and the effort she put into showing them!

You just gave me the best idea for a silver vase I have (and just couldn't seem to find what to use it for)! The simple branches with the hearts or any seasonal item in the middle of my table! I am relishing in your creativity throughout your house, catching up on your blog today…smile!
Blessings, Suzanne
