Reupholstering a Dining Chair-101
{More Designer Decor on a Diaper Budget}As you may know, I’m a big fan of Ballard Designs & their style. But I’m a bigger fan of replicating their style for a fraction of their prices. Here’s another entry for my new series of Designer Decor on a Diaper Budget. If you missed the first one, click here. So, I found a pair of cane-back chairs at another thrift store last week & left without them, not sure of where I might put them. However, before the end of the day, I was asking myself “What was I thinking? ” & speed-dialed my husband to ask him to pick them up for me on his way home from work. And for the unbelievable price of $12.50 each, they became mine.Reupholstering a dining chair is one of my favorite types of makeovers because it’s quick, fun, & I get to use my staple gun. Most of you have probably done this & you may love it as much as I do, but I don’t want to take for granted that everyone knows how this is done, so if you’ve never tried it, click here for a great tutorial. Here’s the before shot of my chairs:

Oh yeah. That's a bargain! They look great! Now I think I am going to redo the one that used to be grandaddy's and paint it white and change the cushion to match Maggie's room. Great job!

Those are beautiful. I just bought a cane back chair and am about to paint it and recover the seat as well. So excited to see how it will turn out. And you got such a great price for them. Love it.

These look so awesome!! Great choice to buy those for such a low price. I love reupholstering chairs–one of my favorite projects! You really did a great job with them and I think they have a lot more character than the Ballard Designs chair.

I've been looking for chairs, but they want to much at our thrift shop. I'm not going to pay 15.00 for a chair that needs to be redone…LOL
Your chairs turned out great….
Thanks for joining Get Your Craft on Thurs. Pleas join me next week for another great party.
