Just a Tiny Little Big Huge Announcement…Again
For almost 12 years now, I have been here sharing almost every life event this family has encountered… some small, some big, some epically life-changing. There are a few of you still around that have been here since the beginning and you’re almost like unofficial family by now. For the past couple of years you’ve been with us through 3 graduations, 2 engagements, 2 weddings, and a house remodel! We keep thinking– after this, things will calm down. And then God says, “Wait, there’s more.”
Several weeks ago, Abby and Beau met Dave and I at the Dogwood Cottage for a work day and surprised our socks off by telling us they are adding a new little one to the family! I can’t explain the shock and the excitement and the joy we felt at the moment and we were so overwhelmed, we didn’t take a pic!
But a couple weeks later, they announced it to the family at dinner with a special little cake, and we all got a chance to celebrate the surprise!
And then they did a photo shoot at their soon-to-be home as a special way to announce it to other friends and family. (These photos by Austin Angel Photography)
So we were just beginning to get our heads wrapped around the new addition when we all got to take a family vacation together to Isle of Palms. Shortly after we arrived, we went on a bike ride on the beach and Grant decided to take a family selfie for us— at which point he announces that Miriam is pregnant as well! As you can see, it took a moment once again for some of us to process!…
There’s no explaining getting blessed like this not once, but twice in such a short time. But the craziest part is that these two had been keeping their secret for weeks, and they are due only one week after Beau and Abby!

And y’all all thought Christmas has always been big event at our house before! Just wait! Both of these babies are due in December and we are super excited as we are counting down. Gender reveals coming in just a few weeks!

Oh! How wonderful. There is nothing like grandchildren. Congratulations to the new parents, yes they are parents already. The sweetest reveals every. Congratulations to the grandparents.❤️
