I love the look of the picture with two captains chairs that are different. If you don’t plan on having the table set for 10 all the time, how about 4 similar chairs and use two as captains and two next to a buffet or even in another room. This opens up the possibility for any kind of chair.

A great option! I’m definitely considering that. And I do plan on keeping my two upholster chairs at the head of the table so that’s a good possibility!

What is the cheapest option? lol
I vote for the first option of the very similar version.
But, hey, it doesn’t matter what I think.

Well I am definitely leaning that way too, but I’m happy to have other input to get ideas from! Yours included!

Julie, the 2nd chair that is 30% off is my pick. One thing about the chairs that came with my table is that they are tooooo heavy which my family complains about and it’s hard to move them to clean. Love the #8 table!!! Great choice to accommodate.

I think that, while the x back chairs look fine, they don’t really seem to match the style of the mural/rug. They seem more farm house style to me. Your style is a bit more classy and refined while still relaxed. I think the gray chairs would look beautiful and make the room more cohesive. But that’s just me 🙂 and I usually always pick the farmhouse look! Either way, it’s gorgeous!

I like the second to last picture the lighter chair. Those chairs are very trendy and they look comfortable.

Hi Julie – We just returned last night from Ireland! Trying to catch up on things today. I love the table you selected and I am sure you will make the right choice in chairs. One thing I’ve learned- the hard way – is consider the width of your chairs. My last dining room chairs were more narrow while my new ones are wider at the edge of the seat in front than in the back. They take up more room at the table. Important as our family has expanded so quickly! We went from the 5 of us to 17 in a matter of years. Sure you will have the same situation – a good problem to have!!!
