Easter Tablescape with Gingham and Moss
Wow! It’s Easter week and it snuck up on me so fast. Clearly I’ve been busy with life as is shown by my absence here and sparsity of posts over the past several weeks. I can’t blame that on any one area…it’s honestly a mix of all kinds of activities and travels and people needing my attention. But this week, I’m here. And I’m prepping for Easter and all that entails.
If you follow me on Instagram (which is where you can find me more often than you can find me here), you may have seen the centerpiece and a few more Easter touches, but here they are for those who still cherish still photos and longer descriptions!
I’ve had a recurring crush on moss for years now, and since it’s making a little comeback in trends, all the more reason to pull it out, fluff it up, and use it all kinds of ways. This centerpiece is one of them. I wanted to use this Waterford Crystal cross again which was gifted to us by a friend many years ago. So I spread a layer of the moss onto a marble tray, added the cross, as well as a little watercolor banner I made, and a couple of pale peach roses. Really simple, yet serving the purpose of starting this theme with our focus for Easter… that Christ indeed lives!

All around the rest of the table, you may see pieces you’ve seen before because I’m over the need to be 100% original with everything all the time! If I like something, I want to be free to use it again if I want to, so that’s where the gingham makes its reappearance. I still love this pale blue for Easter, which I first used last year, but it really does look different with the new wall mural! Find this wall mural HERE from Wunderwall.

One more idea I came up with last year was to use washi tape rolls as napkin rings. HERE is a great set of florals that would be great with many colors and design styles!
Earlier last month I also decided I’d bring back a piece that has been well-loved in Springs and Summers past: my birdcage.
It’s a fun piece for adding a few branches and even a couple faux birds!
On the sideboard, I had styled a little Easter vignette with a moss bunny under a cloche, with a few eggs and my favorite faux white tulips. You find the link to those HERE.

Easter is such a sacred day in many regards, the best of which being the celebration of Christ and His resurrection. May you fully know and experience a relationship with Him so that Easter is more than just a sweet day, but the foundation of faith in the One who came to save. As always, if you have questions about how to have a relationship with God, I’m here for you, friends!
Can’t wait to gather around this table with people I love to create some more memories this weekend. Hope you have a wonderful Easter too.
