Of all the tables I love to set, our Valentine’s table is my favorite.  If you’re new here, you may not have heard me tell of our Valentine tradition of hosting a big family dinner on Valentine’s Day.  For years now, Dave and I have celebrated Valentine’s Day on a different night so we could share the actual day with my parents, of course our kids, and my brother, who was a bachelor for years.  Now, our party has changed a little with my two oldest at college and my dad gone.  But, we’ve now added my brother’s beautiful wife Brittany and their sweet Marlie, who has stolen all our hearts!

In fact, the first time David ever brought Brittany to meet the family was to the Valentine dinner at our house! (No pressure at all!)  And now that they’re married, he keeps coming every year and brings his Valentines with him! And I’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with my table setting, but everything to do with the filet mignon I make every year.  (It’s actually really easy to make!  Find that recipe HERE.)

As usual, I just gathered items from around the house to set this table with the exception of the paper heart plates I found at Hobby Lobby.  I also bought some little puffy heart stickers to make this little centerpiece for the table.  Reminds me of the movie “Up”– don’t you just love that love story??
