Oh my gosh! I was not expecting that! Totally love those chairs and the fun surprise fabric! It is quirky and unique, but still neutral and fits the room perfectly.

Gorgeous! I would still consider that to be neutral. I think you made the perfect choice and aren't you proud for stepping out of your comfort zone?

It looks beautiful. The chairs are perfect and who doesn't love a bit of animal to spice things up! Will you add a rug? If so what kind? Faux animal? more traditional? Victoria

I'm still looking for just the right rug 🙂 I'm hoping to find a light color– maybe with some silver or gold!

The entire room is beautiful. I am so glad you answered the paint question, that was one of mine. I love the fabric on the chairs, can you share that info, please? The ceiling is fab. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, they call the cowhide "Chocolate" and the neutral herringbone simply "Linen". If you click on the link to the furniture company in the post, you can see them under Fabric Options. So glad you like the room!

Thanks, Sandy! The mantle is actually a cast stone, so it isn’t painted. That’s just how it came. And the cabinet is Sherwin Williams’ Fresh White. So glad you like it 🙂

I love the color of your walls with white trim. My husband and I will be moving and painting a very large two-story great room, with foyer. Paint would need to go up walls overlooking the great room and down two sets of stairs. I wonder if that would be too much color? There is a lot of light since the room has Palladian windows and connects to a breakfast room with 5 large windows. (I can use a complementary color for breakfast room;) I’m going nuts trying to figure this out. WE are moving from a home on beach and have yellow walls now, which we love.
