Label Love: DIY Canvas Tags
I love this time of year. Overstuffed closets get cleaned out, cluttered shelves become beautiful rows of baskets and containers, and junk drawers get their rhyme and reason back. It’s invigorating for neat freaks like me.
And then there are labels. Labels are like the icing on the cake.
For those of you who love labels like I do, here’s an idea you might like to try.
It took less than 30 minutes to make these little canvas tags for some baskets in my craft room. And the cost was really nothing since I already had the materials on hand.
I started with some scrap canvas drop cloth, cut into the shapes of tags.
Next, I used my go-to number stamps to stamp on the numbers. Mini alphabet stamp could also be used for stamping on names.
Then, I simply put 2 layers together and sewed around the edges.
To finish them up, I used my little grommet setter (found in scrapbooking supplies) to add the tiny grommet.
A little twine holds them on the baskets, and that’s all there is to it! These would be great for gift tags as well.
