How I Met Chalk Paint: A Love Story
A few weeks ago, I got some really great news that I had won a Chalk Paint giveaway over at Perfectly Imperfect sponsored by Classic Wall Finishes. I had heard talk of the wonders of this famous Chalk Paint all over blogland & wanted to try it for myself, so I was totally thrilled when I found out I’d won!I was contacted by Patty at Classic Wall Finishes & she gave me the low-down on how great this stuff is, along with some tips for my project. She is very knowledgeable & has been using Annie Sloan’s European paint for years. She shares her paint business with her sister is now a stockist, making this great paint available to us here in the U.S.!The project I had in mind for this paint was a dining table & chair set I found at Goodwill in the fall for a lovely $20. I had considered using the chairs in my dining room, but they were in pretty rough shape, so my husband talked me out of it.

Beautiful lady's desk and chair. This new chalk paint made a fantastic transformation. I am thinking of trying a new project with chalk paint. Do you have to use the distressed method? I have never done that and am just a little nervous.. You ladies out there do it so well, I am afraid mine will just look scarred. Is there a special technique for distressing?
Thanks for sharing this beauty. Hugs, Ginger

Okay- That does it! I am going to HAVE to order some and try it! It is unbelievable the projects I have seen done with this. I am amazed at the coverage..and wonder too if you have to distress it to make it look right!? Hugs- Diana

That looks great, Julie! Has the hubster reconsidered his thoughts on it? : ) I think it would make a great desk in a Mom cave. When I get to do one for myself, I want to have enough desk/table top because I like to keep what I'm working on out and in view. Something with a large top will allow me to do that and not feel cluttered. I do want to give this paint a try having read about it all over blogland, and I'm hoping to hear back about an inquiry I made. So maybe soon!
