Another Surprise Chapter
It’s amazing the adventures you will wake up and find yourself in sometimes, and how much that can change in just months. That’s us right now, in business and in life with a third grandbaby coming any week now from Grant and Miriam (a little boy!), which has us so excited, and then there’s the little thing of acquiring another Airbnb! We’ve had a great time with the first one, which was itself an adventure we didn’t plan on. And because that has gone well, we went through another door of opportunity right into another one. And this one has been a bit bigger project!
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already heard about this latest property, which was livable, but dated… but has the most amazing views. It’s also on Pensacola Beach, like our first one, and we have been in a full-on renovation of it since the day we got it. And we’re doing it all long-distance! It’s been amazing to be able to have found just the right people to do this work and the transformation has already been so fun to watch. Yesterday was the last official day of renovation, and the cleaning crews and furniture delivery come over the next week!
So I thought I’d get you up-to-date and show you how this all started before I share the upcoming reveal. Here are a few shots of how it looked when we bought it…
As you can see– a lot of potential! I spent a few days there in October getting all of the old furnishings out and choosing tile, paint, etc.
I left it almost completely empty, ready for a new chapter.
I have been shopping for furnishings long-distance and having them shipped down to a holding company who will deliver everything for us next week. That’s been keeping me so busy I haven’t had time to share many of the plans, but I thought I’d share a couple of the bedroom design boards for you today!
For the Master bedroom, I wanted a serene coastal mood in blue and white, so this is the result featuring a new wallpaper pattern coming soon to Wunderwall which I love! Nightstands, mirrors, lamps, and one of my own paintings round out the look. I’ll share the sources for these below!
For the second bedroom (the one with the elliptical machine pictured above), I added a little more color to the palette, including a second new wallpaper coming soon to Wunderwall! I love the pink coral design with the little seahorses. I’m excited to see all of this come together as well. Sources for this room below.
There is a third bedroom I am so excited about that I think you’ll really like, as well as 2 brand new baths, a kitchen, and the living and dining area! Whew.. yeah, it’s a lot for just a month’s work. My head is spinning just a little. Are you surprised at this too??
