Abby’s Lemon-Themed Bridal Shower
We felt all kinds of emotions over the weekend as we experienced yet another big event that was long-anticipated. And even the long weeks of lockdown leading up to this did not dampen the day. Everything was as perfect as could be for Abby as our friends and family showered her with the sweetest lemon bridal shower we could have dreamed of!
Having recently graduated with her graphic design degree, this girl loves flower and lemon decor, which will be incorporated into the wedding– so my sister and my mom and I put together the shower in this same design style. Since Abby is a huge fan of Rifle Paper Co. as well, we started with their floral table runner and carried the theme from there!
With lemons as a focus, the theme was “She found her main squeeze!” A letter board with this quote and an illustration of the couple drawn by the bride were used to style the shelves.
Anyone recognize the leaf garland? I couldn’t resist making some adjustments to my original one I shared HERE to match this party. I switched out some of the colors of the leaves and added in a few more to coordinate with the shower colors…
And then I added in a few lemon picks to make it even more fun!
For a second garland for the drink cart, I layered on a paper flower garland we had from previous parties as well…
I designed a sign congratulating the couple that we hung on a copper stand Abby had made for some wedding decor to come later, and it made the perfect backdrop for the table…
Lemon cookies made by my aunt were a perfect part of the decor as well! And tasted great too!
A simple chalkboard sign and more lemons and flowers welcomed the guests in the foyer, and a cute Kate Spade recipe box from my sister held advice cards for the bride!
Big thanks to my mom and sister for all the great food and preparation they made in hosting this shower…
And to the cousins and sisters who helped in many ways as well..
It was such a fabulous surprise to have some of the bridesmaids there too!
And of course, Abby and Beau are so thankful for the gifts they received from so many!
But the best part by far was getting to see a few friends and family in person and have them bless Abby with their presence!
It was a beautiful day for all of us in many ways, and another reminder that we are one step closer to the big day for these two!
I hope you enjoyed these pictures like we enjoyed the day! Let me know if you have questions about sources and I’ll try to help!

Do you have any idea where that darling girl got her orange/fruit dress? It’s beyond adorable!!! Your party is beautiful. Also, did you make the paper flower banner. If so, do you have another tutorial for that?

Yes! That’s my niece & her dress is from Walmart!
Also- the paper flowers were bought from Target several years back— just layered them on the leaf garland!

How beautiful Abby is and how very special you all made her shower. What a gift to be able to make her shower look like a million bucks. I hope and pray Abby and Beau will be happy and healthy and blessed all the days of their lives. She is blessed to have such a loving and talented family to put all of this together.
