Christmas Home Tour 2019

It’s that time!…My most favorite post of the year!  I have felt a bit behind for the past couple of weeks, but I really do love getting our home styled for Christmas in slightly different ways!  But what I really love is when it’s all done and we can just enjoy it.  I shared our front porch with you all as part of the 2019 Holiday Tour of Homes earlier this week, and in case you missed that, you can find it HERE.

Every year, chalkboards are a part of my Christmas decor, and this year, I decided to move our pantry chalkboard to our front foyer table to announce the message of the season!  I also took down the door print gallery wall I normally have here and added some starbursts.

In the piano room, I went with a simple and elegant feel, first by trying a new look on the mantle with a large spray of eucalyptus and other faux greens with some white berries and fairy lights mixed in.  

I think it works well with my $5 estate sale round mirror that I scored years ago.  And a little “be merry” banner draped across adds a simple seasonal sentiment!

I am still fully in love with our flocked tree we bought last year, and the colors we used this year were blues, a few greens, and gold, and it is just how I like it!  

And because of my long -standing crush on leopard print, I even added some to the tree.  You may have seen on my stories that I painted these spots onto to some gold ornaments to get this look!

We have already spent several nights in here, hanging out by the fire and loving it!  Looking forward to many more!

In the family room, it’s a completely different them of traditional reds, black, and Christmas plaids…

We went out and chose this tree on Black Friday, which is our usual tradition, and them came home and decorated it with all our collected family ornaments!

The kitchen is always one of my favorite spaces to decorate for Christmas,  probably because we spend so much time in here together!  I already shared this easy farmhouse style Christmas sign with free download yesterday!  Who else is making one for their home this year??

And another new addition this year is my little neon “joy” sign that I am loving!!  It really does light this whole space up!

And our yearly family tradition of a hot cocoa bar is now open for business!  Who else has this tradition?? 

With all the Christmas decorating I’ve done through the years, I’ve got quite a collection of things, so I do my best to reuse them in creative ways!  So you will, no doubt recognize a few things you’ve seen before.  In the breakfast room, I brought back the mini nutcrackers and my hoop wreath from last year, restyled a bit!

I always like to find a place for this little banner I made many years ago, and this was the perfect spot!

Re-using my large chalkboard once again on these shelves, and adding a few new items including these little houses I love from one of my favorite local shops, Fig & Co., where you can now shop online!

And lastly, our dining room, which actually probably took the shortest amount of time, mostly because we have a new mural this year which doesn’t need  lot of competition!  But also because I was holding out hope that our new table would be here by now!

Sparing you the crazy details, but we still do not have the new one!  Maybe Santa will show up with it, but we’ll see!  I kept the table very simple, and something about it reminds me of the cafe car scene from White Christmas! Anyone know it?

My girls and I found these bottle brush tree napkin rings at Hobby Lobby this year, and they’re simple but fun!

Cypress from the yard made a couple of cute arrangements.

And I decided this dining room tree would be perfect for our bird ornaments this year.
