I {Heart} Decorating for Valentine’s Day!
Most of y’all already know how I feel about this, but give me a holiday that’s all about love and I am going to be all in. I try to wait until at least the end of January to start putting out all the hearts, but that means there are only a couple weeks to keep it out! Maybe that’s why I make the most of it for those quick couple weeks! I’ve put a heart on almost everything that’s not moving in the house recently, and even on some of the things that do move. Come on in to see what’s going on in here!
Have y’all noticed these cute heart chalkboards in Target’s Bullseye’s Playground this year? I got a couple and just wired them on my boxwood wreaths and I had a 2-minute Valentine front door makeover! Not bad for $3!
My favorite easiest DIY chalkboard is still in the kitchen with a few (or maybe more than a few) hearts!
And I’ve used these mini white wreaths for Christmas for years, but this time I brought them out and added a little felt heart for a little something on the backs of the stools! (Use a straight pin to hold the ribbon on top for upholstered chairs)
Our little hot cocoa station is still up, but with some love added in. I literally just stuck a little red foam heart on my white carafe with some double-sided tape and it’s ready to pour out the love. My red bead garland was made for me by a friend and I love it!
I haven’t decorated the dining room yet– that may still come later! But I did style up the shelves in the breakfast room!
In the family room, my boxwood garland is still making an appearance, this time with a garland of hearts draped across! And did you notice I have a new chair?? I’ve been looking for a nice neutral chair for awhile now, and when I spotted this one, I decided to got for it! You can find it via my affiliate link HERE. I’m loving it!
You know how I gravitate toward neutral furniture so I can switch it all up for different seasons and this chair will be perfect for that.
In the piano room, a little heart garland is the subtle touch for this season, along with my pink pillows I’ve had forever!
And lastly, in our room, I switched up the winter bedding once again with a little heart pillow! I found this one with the pillow covers at Hobby Lobby last year! A similar one and the other bedding are linked below!
And our little initial heart art on the wall stays up all year, not just for Valentine’s Day. It’s a fun project that makes a great gift and here’s the original how-to if you want to try it!
More Valentine fun to come on the blog over the next couple weeks! Do you like to decorate for Valentine’s Day? If so, I have tons more inspiration and ideas HERE!

I decorate for all the holidays so I have Chinese New Year up now but will change in another week for Valentine’s Day. This is my favorite! I decorate with lots of glass red heart ornaments on metal trees.
