Faux Fur Vanity Stool Makeover
This is one of those projects that I’ve been waiting to do for months, searching thrift stores and clearance aisles for just the right candidate for a vanity stool for my bathroom.
Then, I finally spotted several of these ottomans left over from the dorm room decor at Target and it was marked down to only $24.98. It’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for.
So I brought it home, removed the cushioned top from the base, then wrapped it with the fabulous faux Mongolian fur I had left over from the pillows in my master bedroom makeover. (I LOVE this fur!) With just one yard of it, I’ve made 2 pillows, plus covered this ottoman and still have some left over! Click here to get some for yourself!
After covering the top, I sprayed the base with my favorite Krylon gold, and it was done!
It was so much fun to make, I almost wish it had taken longer.
Reminds me a little of this little beauty which costs approximately $1,120 more than my version. (Ilove it when that happens.)
This is the first project in my plan for a little bathroom update. More on that to come! What do you think?
Don’t forget this month’s Pretty PreppyParty is coming up this Thursday! Can’t wait to see your projects!

Faux fur is such a huge trend for the Fall! I love how if you decide to change it up, that piece will be super easy to mix up =)
Great job!
