DIY Dollar Store Non-Candy Halloween Treats!
If you’re looking for ways to treat the kids this Halloween, here are a few sweet ideas that are totally sugar-free! I shared these easy DIY projects on our local news show this morning, and you might like them, too! Almost all of the supplies are from the dollar store, so there’s no need to be afraid of blowing your budget!
First, these mini ghost bubbles are made from wedding bubbles that come 8 in a pack from the Dollar Tree…
Just use a small ball of tissue paper to make a “head,” cut 3 more pieces of tissue in 5 inch squares, cover it up, tie on a piece of string, and make a couple of black dots for the eyes!
Then finish it off by gluing on a little speech bubble which you can download here. SO easy!
Also at the dollar store, I found some mini play-dough cans, colorful pencils, and some googly eyes. Using these along with some pom pons from Hobby Lobby, the girls and I also made some cute Monster pencil toppers and Monster Dough with just a little hot glue and creativity!
These are easy enough and cheap enough to pass out to the trick-or-treaters at the door or use for party favors at your Halloween party. They’re fun to make and the kids will love them, too!
Here’s my little TV segment if you’d like to see more!
