Update My Space Finalists Announced!!! (& Home Depot Gift Card Giveaway)
So the big day is here! Time to announce the finalists of the Update My Space Contest, and some of you who already skipped down to see who they are are wondering why there are 4 finalists instead of 3.
Well, it’s like this: after agonizing and contemplating and brainstorming and losing sleep over who to choose out of all the fabulous entries, I got it down to 4 and that’s the best I could do.
You people have such great spaces, and I so wish I had the budget to help everyone of you update them! But, I had to narrow it down based on what spaces I thought could get the most bang for the buck, so here are the Final Four in no particular order…
1. Melody’s Master Bedroom
Melody and her husband have a nice room with some great basic pieces of furniture that have makeover potential, as well as bedding that could be switched out for something a little more updated. I also have a few ideas for art and accessories that could add some interest as well.
2. Jodi’s Family Room
Jodi and her crew have a great space they use for all kinds of things from school work to quiet time with the family. They want a space that will lend itself to the peaceful views outside, and they’re on their way, but just need a few pieces to get them in the right direction. One thing I love about this space is the neutrality, which leaves the door wide open for all kinds of potential to come right in.
3. Holly’s Bathroom
Holly entered her bathroom into the contest because she says it’s long overdue for an update. She would love to see something done with the walls since the wallpaper is over 12 years old and she’s also dreaming of some new flooring and help with storage. This bath is shared by her 3 kids, but also used by guests, so it could use a fresh, updated look.
4. Kelly’s Outdoor Kitchen
Kelly sent in her kitchen as a candidate for an update because with her large family of 7, they spend a lot of time outside by their pool and would love to do more entertaining with this kitchen. And with some good basics already in place and a few new features added in, this space could be the oasis they’re dreaming of.
So, now it’s up to you! These girls want your vote and you could end up winning a $100 gift card to Home Depot in the process!
