What I’m Most Thankful For
Sparkling trinkets.
Posh furnishings.
Handbags labeled with a famous name.
The warmth of a home decorated exactly the way I like it.
My favorite foods on a table surrounded by people I love.
A coat for every possible occasion.
Shelves of shoes for one pair of feet.
And a million other thingsunnecessary.
Yes, I’m thankful for them.
But, it’s His mercy I can’t live without.
Mercy.
It’s Jesus taking our hand and leading us to a God we have no business knowing otherwise.
It’s Him forgetting all those reasons why we are so undeserving and remembering our sins no more.
It’s getting a second chance every single day that we live.
Mercy. New today and everyday.
It’s what I’m most thankful for this Thanksgiving.
And what’s even more beautiful about it is it’s not just for me. It’s for my kids. And you. And anyone else who will let Christ in.
Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. May the goodness of the Lord be apparent to you. And may His bountiful mercy be real in your life.

Enjoyed your thoughts and brothers photographsLamentations 3:22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
