Home
I’ve been a tad busy for the past several days, startingwith a road trip with my daughter’s 10th grade class to Washington, D.C. where I had tons of fun hanging out with her and all her friends.
The city was absolutely beautiful decked out in all the fall colors…
And we even had time to stop in and see Kate and all her gorgeous fall colors too…
Thoseleopard shoes in the top left corner made my heart skip a beat. (Get a closer look here.) Someone please let me know when they go 90% off.
Then, I came home for just long enough to kiss Dave and the kids and I was off again for a ladies’ retreat in a beautiful cabin in the Smokies.
My mom was the speaker for the retreat, and I was thrilled to be invited to come with her.
And an added bonus was spending time with one of my best friends, Nikki, who’s been one of my best girl friends since we first met as suite-mates in college. It was a great time with a great group of ladies! (I’ll tell you all about the craft we did later–Fun, fun!)
By Saturday night, my family was pretty happy to see me. But not half as happy as I was to see them! Because as much as I love to go away, I love coming home to them more.
What have you been up to lately?
