Colors I Fall For in My Fall Decor {Hey, That Rhymes!}
The transition to Fall continues here at our house & I’m continuing to make turquoise an regular Fall color. After I added the turquoise birdcage to the Fall shelves in the breakfast room, it was only natural to add a little turquoise to the kitchen as well.And with the addition of my Fall bunting from last year and some paper leaf trees made the same way I made my Fall Word Tree, I ended up with a whimsical look. I borrowed the turquoise chalkboard from my Kids’ Art Wall because it was just begging to be there. (See how turquoise can totally work for Fall?)I also incorporated some black&white just because I love it so much. And the polka dots made it feel a little Mary Engelbreit-ish. In fact, I feel a matching tea towel coming on. Stay tuned for that later.My mini birdcages (I bought these at Michael’s for $1 each last Fall) added a little more color. And even though I didn’t have enough mini pine cones to fill my tall apothecary jar, I didn’t let that stop me. Toilet paper rolls & newspaper can make a really good jar filler. Just a little more less-than-perfect bliss.So, once again, the moral of the story is: use what you have to decorate. You don’t have to go out & spend a lot of money on all new pre-made Fall decor, and it doesn’t all have to be orange, red or brown. You can bring Fall to your home by creating it from things you already own. I hope this inspires you to do that. You can do it! I’m linking this post to some of these parties & The Inspired Room. Check them out!

Adorable! I love the birdcages and the pinecones with the filler are so cute. The splash of turquoise is so pretty. I have been trying to shop around my home more, too. Time to do a fall mantle! Thanks for the inspiration! I am visiting from FNF.
