The Latest and Greatest Update to Brittany’s Rancher Reno!
For those of you who have been following me here for some time, you may remember back to 8 years ago when I first shared with you Brittany’s Rancher Reno project by my brother and sister-in-law. They have a very cute rancher that they have completely transformed over those years into a beautiful home for their now family of 5! Here is a little recap of how this story has played out…
Around 2014, boy meets girl (this would be my brother, David, and Brittany)
2014– Girl is living her life in an older rancher that could use a few updates..
2015–Little did she know this guy would not only become the love of her life, but he would turn her house upside down as well with all his DIY ideas! The first renovations begin. You can read more about that HERE. But it turned out like this…
2016– Exterior renovations began starting with the German Smear Brick Mortar Wash which was a very popular post! You may remember that one HERE.
It took the house from this…

2023— Many other changes have taken place in this sweet house over those years and the most recent is amazing once again! David and Brittany decided to take the kitchen to a whole new level and here is the result…
They removed that dining wall to open the space up to one big beautiful kitchen and dining area!
There are too many great features to pick a favorite, but the island color in SW Pewter Green is perfect with the cabinets and quartz counter tops!
The light pouring in from both the front and back of the house gives this whole space amazing light.
The backsplash is done in this tile, which goes great with the creamy cabinets. I personally love these floating shelves which David custom made as well…
The bar stools were a great choice, too, and you can find those HERE.
The view into the living area is just beautiful from the gorgeous island. The walls are one of my favorite colors which I have in my own house– SW Origami White.
And the fireplace got a coat of the Pewter Green, too, which pulls the entire space together. I am so honored that Dave and Brittany asked me to paint a landscape for their mantle and I think it looks happy here!
Are you as amazed as I am over this space?? It’s such a beautiful place for them and I am proud of all the work they’ve put in to make it so. Who knows what they’ll be up to next! We shall see!
