DIY Easy Painted Christmas Sign
Every year, I change up the Christmas decor, using several pieces I’ve had for years, but also always adding something new into the mix. And the DIY-er in me can’t resist crafting something for the season! This year, I decided to make a lettered sign.

It was so quick and easy! I started with a barn wood frame from Hobby Lobby, which I found on 50% off week for only $20, along with a large piece of foam board for just a few dollars more. (Click here for a wide variety of barn wood frames available on Amazon.)
I measured the foam board to fit the frame, then used a utility knife to cut…
Once I knew it was the right fit, I worked on lettering!
Using some letter stickers I had from the Target Dollar spot, I arranged the letters how I wanted them. I used the glitter stickers to spell the WONDERFUL and stuck them on the board, but traced around the others with a pencil.
Then, I just used a little craft paint to fill in the traced letters! No need to get them perfect- it adds to the rustic charm!
Once they were dry, I just fit the board in to the frame and secured it with tape around the back. It’s just what I wanted for the kitchen shelf this year, and I’m already thinking of other ways to use it the rest of the year! (Find the boxwood trees via my affiliate link here.)
It’s a quick and easy way to get a custom sign for a great price! I hope you like it! Stay tuned for tons more Christmas decor coming your way very soon!

Julie this sign is so cute! I feel like I could whip one up even with about 7 billion things left to do before Christmas! Thanks for sharing. Great idea to trace the cardstock letters!
