Homemade Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub

One of the best things about the ladies’ retreat my mom and I went to recently was getting to meet a bunch of new friends. They were super-nice and fun and friendly, but more than that— they love to craft! So, obviously, when they said we were having craft time, I knew I was going to get along with them just fine.

The project they had for us was Homemade Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub, the perfect choice for a group craft. There was a large dining room in the cabin with a really long table, and when craft time came, we each had a neat little station to make our scrub.

We each were given a jar for the scrub, a small cup of vegetable oil (about 1/2 cup), a label and embellishments for the jar, as well as a little Mod Podge and a foam brush. We also had a bowl with 2 parts white sugar, one part brown sugar, and about a tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice.

*For a half-pint jar, you need approximately 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 Tbsp spice and about 1/2 cup oil.

Then, we just mixed the oil into the sugar mixture and stirred it well.

The label was applied with a couple coats of Mod-Podge. And a little Washi Tape around the band of the lid added a little something extra.

A little jute and flower embellishments finished it off and we were done!

It was simple and fun to make, plus we had some good laughs along the way.

To use it, just scoop a little of the scrub into your hands and slather it allover them. Then, just rinse it off with warm water.
