Adding a touch of fall to your home doesn’t always requirespending a fortune in the fall decor aisle. And not everyone has time for themed vignettes and chalkboard art for every room of the house. But, with a little inspiration, and some gathered things from around your own house, you can welcome Autumn with open arms.
For my fall dining room this year, I just rounded up all my candlesticks, grouped them together on the buffet, added a little foliage and a pumpkin, and called it done.
My Homme bust from Joss and Main got a little fall makeover with a few leaves draped around his neck.
And a little feather in an urn seemed like a good idea for the cloche.
{And here’s a little tip if your candles are too small for your candlesticks– wrap a little aluminum foil around the base of the candle to get a tighter fit.}
As for the formal living room this year, a few faux leaves and a pumpkin on the mantel did the trick.
And my grandmother’s platter turned out to be a perfect “tray” on the coffee table.
Lola’s “found” acorns in a crystal dish are on the “marble” table, and they look cute, but I’m just hoping no one mistakes them for a bowl of nuts and tries to eat them.
Simply stated, it’s Fall. How are you decorating this year?
