Paper Easter Basket How-To
We have less than a week before the Easter Bunny arrives, but that’s plenty of time to make up a few of these mini paper Easter baskets for someone special in your life.
And since Easter is not really about bunnies anyway, these are a great way to share the true message of Easter.
I made these little cones the same way I made these May Baskets I showed you last year. But instead of scrapbook paper, I used sheet music. Handel’s “I Know My Redeemer Liveth,” is a great choice for Easter. {Click here for a link to print it for free.}
I used 2 sheets for one cone. I just trimmed the excess white around the borders, then glued them back to back with a glue stick to get a two-sided sheet.
Then, I rolled it onto a cone and used hot glue to hold it in place.
A couple of holes punched on the sides with a strand of jute makes a great handle.
Then, I glued on a tiny stem of calla lilies. (Find these mini stems with the wedding supplies at Hobby Lobby.)
Mini stamps on a scrap of scrapbook paper made a “Happy Easter” banner. I use my mini stamps for so many projects! I highly recommend these for all crafters. I got mine atHobby Lobby a few years ago. Click here for a similar set.
I stuffed the inside with this craft paper filler…
And then added a few speckled malted milk eggs…
One last mini banner made from more scrapbook paper glued onto a bamboo skewer proclaims what we know to be true on Easter and every other day of the year.
Take one to a neighbor, make them with your kids, or give them to your Easter dinner guests. I hope this inspires you! But more than that, I hope it helps to remind you of the hope we have in Christ, whose death and resurrection we celebrate at Easter, and rejoice in every day of the year. Very pretty, Julie! I've been using that paper fill this year, too. Actually, I started last year when I couldn't bear to use that green Easter grass anymore! I love your letter stamps, too. That must make it easy to stamp whatever you want; I'll have to look to get one of those.

Oh Julie, I adore these. I usually always decorate my table with candy filled peat pots, but these cones would be so cute hanging on the chairs. This may be a crazy question, but did you have any trouble with these cones tipping after they are hung?
