I agree! I love how chalkboards are a blank canvas. I'm in the process of painting a small wall between my mudroom and kitchen with chalkboard paint and I can't wait to use it!

I've had a crush on the chalkboard above your stove for a while! I love it and always think I wish we didn't have that microwave above ours! But I'm thinking about where else I could put one. Thanks for sharing some serious inspiration 🙂 I totally dig the ones on a tree stump!

I have a chalkboard in my dining room. It's fun when guests come over to write the menu. In the images you shared, I especially like the chalkboard on the kitchen cabinet. It would be a great place to post a grocery list!

I recently tried making a chalkboard, on thin mdf board. (I think that's what it's called.). I put two coats on with the spray chalk board paint and I'm not happy with the results. I followed directions, even! Is there a better surface or paint to use? I think I used the Krylon product. Not positive. Help, please!

I'm wondering if maybe you need more coats of the paint. I know they recommend 2, but I've always done at least 3 thin coats & I've always had great results. And I almost always use the thin particle board (also called Eucaboard) with the smooth side. If this is what you used, maybe just try spraying on a couple more coats. Hope that helps!
