Laurel Wreath Pillow How-To
It’s unofficially Pillow Week around here if you’re just joining us, and today I’m sharing my Laurel Wreath Pillow. Super easy and super chic– but that’s just me talkin’. Let me show it to you and then you tell me what you think.
The cost of this one was literally pennies since I had almost all the materials I needed already. I used the same unbleached muslin I worked with on my blue floral pillows, and I used the same freezer paper stencil method as well to make my little “No. 6”. {Click here for the freezer paper method how-to.}
Then, I used a good ol’ sheet of gray craft felt (these are a whopping 25 ¢ at Hobby Lobby), and cut out around 40 laurel leaf shapes. I still had about 1/3 of the piece of felt leftover.
Then, I mocked up the laurel wreath design while I heated up the glue gun.
Then, I let the glue gun work its magic, working my way around the wreath, gluing the leaves in place.
The last step is to just sew the pillow together.
That’s it. You’ll have so much fun making this you’ll wish it was harder so the project would last longer so you can avoid the laundry a little longer. (What? No one else does this?)
Hope you like it! I’m sharing it with a few of these peeps and I’m linking it to my own throw pillow linky party that’s continuing thru the end of the week. Do you have a great pillow post to share, too?
Stay tuned for more of my family room makeover with another pillow how-to coming soon.
