Christmas Tour 2016!
Welcome, friends! So hard to believe that this is the 8th year I’ve decorated this house for Christmas, and I have to admit I think it gets bigger each year! But, as I’ve explained many times, creating is my love language, to my family and to the Lord, and Christmas is my favorite time of year for it! I’m joining several other bloggers this year for 12 Days of Holiday Homes, sponsored by Lynch Creek Farm. Check out their beautiful wreaths and greenery here. I’ll link the other tours at the bottom of this post! So, come on in!
I already shared our entry and the details of it here, so feel free to click over if you missed it! Since I get several questions about sources and products, I’ll link to some as we go! (Please note many of these are affiliate links which help to support this blog at no extra cost to you!)
Inside, we’ll start in the family room with the famous falling tree! It’s back up now and everything is good! (Bungee cord holding it up in the back not pictured!) This tree holds all our collected family ornaments and I love it! Especially topped with our marquee star! (Similar one available here.)
My love for buffalo check runs all through the house, and you’ll see several of these pillows in both red and black. Here’s where to get them for a great deal!
My favorite green chair was a thrift store find, and I love it at Christmas with this red plaid pillow (from Marshall’s).
You’ll notice, like always, I love to decorate with words and letters, so you’ll see a lot of them!
I also love my lightbox for decorating in all times of the year, and you can find one like mine here. (Makes a great gift!)
And, of course–our nativity set is always out each Christmas! My aunt gave us this Fontanini set as a wedding gift and we’ve added a couple of pieces since! This is a great set because it’s not breakable, so the kids can set it out and handle the pieces each year!
In the kitchen, I made a DIY lettered sign for over the range and I gave the simple how-to here, in case you missed that.
I always find a great place for my “Jesus is the Reason” wreath, and this year, I hung it on the mirror behind the range!
My ampersand tray was another Marshall’s find (Kate Spade), and the “Merry Bright” banner I made from stickers!
Also in my kitchen is my hot cocoa bar I set up each year with new chalkboard art and a free printable! I’ll be sharing that next week, so stay tuned!
(This post contains affiliate links which help to support this blog.)
In our breakfast room, I hung my City Skyline wreath, provided by Lynch Creek Farm.
So fresh, and smells great!
And then, more buffalo check on a wreath I made by wrapping some fabric around a basic straw wreath. I hung it on my DIY faux wood sign board I told you all about here. Still loving it! Small deer head from Marshall’s and the little forest friends are from Target here.
In our dining room, I went with traditional Christmas colors and patterns once again, using these popular plates from Target and these buffalo checked napkins!
And in the piano room, I did something very different this year by leaving our tree (almost) completely undecorated! All I did was add a “Glory to the Newborn King” banner I made from more letters, and then top it with a gorgeous paper snowflake (link here).
This room is one of the most peaceful spaces in our home and I love spending nights by the fire in here with just the Christmas lights!
And very soon, Abby will be home from college to play the piano for us again!
And the last room I’ll share is our guest room, which I figured was about time I styled for Christmas since we always have guests for the holidays! And, y’all, when my sister sees this, she’s going to ask if I am really going to let her drink hot cocoa on the white bedding.
And because I’m such a great sister, I’m going to say yes. Because, after all, it’s Christmas!
Thanks so much for stopping by for my tour! As always, I wish I could meet you all in person, but meeting up with you here is the next best thing! Wishing you all a merry, Christ-filled Christmas!
