Our Visit to Glen Eyrie Castle
This past weekend, Dave and I had the opportunity to travel to Colorado for a retreat at Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs. It was amazing in a thousand ways, from the breathtaking setting, to the beautiful architecture, gorgeous hikes, wonderful food, and more!

We were there for a Marriage Getaway with some friends in a business group that we’re a part of, so we had sessions and meals and more with friends, making it even better. This property is owned and operated by the Christian group the Navigators, so the atmosphere was even more special to us. And before I show more of the castle and grounds, let me say we highly recommend attending a Marriage Getaway here with your spouse! It was very unique and enriching and we really enjoyed all the sessions, led by Mike and Becky McNamee. You can find more info about that HERE.
There was plenty of free time during our stay so we were able to tour the castle, walk the grounds, hike some trails, and just take it all in.

We stayed in the castle, and had beautiful views of the courtyard and mountains, but there are many gorgeous rooms to choose from.

There’s so much to see in other areas of the house as well! You can also book a tour or tea here as well if you can’t stay overnight. On the tour, you get to hear all about the history of the house and General Palmer, the original owner, as well as how it came to be acquired by the Navigators.

The setting and the grounds are simply amazing. We loved walking around, relaxing in one of the hammocks, having a picnic lunch, and more!

Can you spot the castle in this pic from one of our hikes?

The meals we had all during the retreat were simply delicious as well. And the views!

The red rocks all around the property are so different from our landscape here in Tennessee and it was beautiful! And an added bonus… the Garden of the Gods parks actually adjoining the castle property so it is just a few minutes’ drive outside the gate to visit that as well.

So, yes, we loved our stay here at Glen Eyrie! I do highly recommend it. You can get more information from them by clicking HERE, or feel free to let me know if you have questions I can answer as well! Also- visit my Instagram for a few more video tours.
