Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast in Covington, GA
As my Instagram followers already heard–Dave and I took a little trip to Atlanta this weekend as a post-Valentine’s Day getaway, and our accommodations were a Southerner’s dream-come-true!
We booked our stay at the Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast in Covington, and it was amazing! Just a 30-minute drive from all the fun of Atlanta, this B and B has tons of Old South charm with all the beauty of a modern elegant estate.
We only briefly met Nicole, the owner, but one of the housekeepers filled us in on how it was Nicole herself that oversaw a complete reno of the home and chose the amazing décor–from the well-appointed antiques to the gorgeous wall colors.
There are sparkling chandeliers throughout the house, as well as the perfect combination of period pieces and modern comforts for a very tasteful design style.
We stayed on the third floor in the Breakfast at Tiffany’s Room and it was gorgeous!
And have you seriously ever seen a more dreamy claw foot tub?
And the moldings!
There is so much character in this house, and yet it’s fullyupdated with all the modern amenities.
Breakfast was served in the dining room in the morning and it was simply fabulous as well.
There’s so much more to read and see of this house on their website (including how it was the inspiration for Ashley Wilkes’ house in Gone with the Wind!), so click here to read all about it! Be sure to check out all the décor in the other amazing rooms and let me know if you decide to visit! I can’t wait to go back!

Now you've got me dying to go here! My husband and I live just an hour west of Atlanta, so this might be a fun little first anniversary get-away this May! Bookmarking this post so I can remember 🙂 Thanks for this post!
