8 Great Gift Ideas for Graduates!
If you’ve got a grad in your life this year, you’ve probably already been thinking about gift options. I’m on that path myself, so I’ve put together a little list of a few things I’ve given, received, or am contemplating now.
My first and favorite is a personal journal full of words of wisdom. This is my favorite because it’s the most meaningful, but it also is the most time-consuming. I come from a family of writers. My parents have written me many meaningful words in cards and letters throughout my life, and I save all of them.
For my son’s 18th birthday in January, my parents gave him a journal with pages of heart-felt, and hand-written sentiment that he can read again and again. The words of wisdom written in my dad’s own hand are even more special as he wrote them in his last days on earth, with an amazing perspective on life.
My mom also advised Grant to invite other people in his life to share their words of wisdom on the pages as well. If you’re looking for a meaningful gift for your grad, this is it! A nice blank journal like this one doesn’t cost a lot of money, but can end up being priceless.
Another nice, but practical gift that all graduates can use is a set of personalized note cards. This design is classic and a great deal as well for 50 cards. Click here to see the options!
And whether he’s heading off to a new job or higher education, any guy that’s graduating would appreciate this hand-crafted leather satchel bag! From a well-rated Etsy seller who has many other styles to choose from, it’s a great choice! Click here for all the details!
And for the girls, who wouldn’t love this adorable Jane Austen Sense and Sensibility Book Clutch? Also from Etsy, it’s a one-of-a-kind, so check it out now!
And another must-have for the girl grad is this cute and functional personalized mobile charger! A great reminder for her to stay in touch! Click here to order. (Great gift idea for mom, too!)
And a fabulous classic is Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go! This would go great with a box of tissues because it gets me every time. Order yours here.
And for those leaving home after graduation, a great set of luggage is going to be a must-have. My parents gave me luggage for my graduation and that’s when I knew for sure they were serious about the college thing. That turned out for the best and this gift will, too! Check out this set here and all the great color options offered!
And the grand old stand-by that every graduate loves, of course, is cash. But you can still get a little creative with your presentation with something like this money chain that I showed you last year. Click here for the full tutorial.
I hope this gives you some ideas! If you don’t have a graduate this year, pin your favorites to save for later, and say a prayer for those of us who do! Which of these is yourfavorite?
