Front and Back Porch Fall Inspiration and Free Chalkboard Printable
I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m pretty sure fall is the season that was meant for this front porch. A little fall color is the perfect compliment to the darker tones in the door and stone, and there’s still enough summer green around to keep things bright! And since colorful and bright seems to be the fall theme inside, I decided to go for some wreaths on the front doors that added a little pop as well.
I gave a sneak peek of these on my Instagram stories on Tuesday, and challenged myself to get them done in less than an hour and it worked!
These are so simple, there’s barely any explanation needed, but just to refresh… I used some basic grapevine wreaths, some green grass bunches and some golden yellow stems, all from Hobby Lobby.
I first separated the grass bunches by cutting them into smaller bunches, then stuck them into the wreaths in a clockwise direction.
After that, I cut the yellow stems into pieces and did the same thing, layering them over the greens.
And in 40 minutes or so, I had two of them done and ready to hang, which I did using this favorite method of hanging without damaging your door!
I also switched up the little hoop wreath that hangs on the side, and added yet one more letter board out here because I literally cannot resist them!
And on the screened porch in back, more color and more words to welcome fall and we’re hoping the mild fall weather we’ve been having hangs on a little longer so we can still hang out in this favorite space of ours for a few more weeks!
It is a good season for gathering, whether you’re inside or out! Just as long as you’re with your people! And here’s a free chalkboard printable just to remind you! Click HERE to download.
