Framed: Another Spray Paint Story
Maybe I say this about every season of the year, but when it comes to decorating, I think Spring is my favorite! I’m crossing my fingers that winter is on its way out here in Tennessee, and I’m taking advantage of the sunshine to get a few projects done. One quick project I did this week was to finally break down and find a frame for my landscape painting I did last year.
Remember when I posted my how-to for it here?
I loved it in my kitchen for awhile, but I’ve been thinking about framing it and hanging it in a more permanent place.

Since the open frames were 50% off this week at Hobby Lobby, I decided to go for it. There wasn’t an option available that was exactly like I wanted, but I knew I could fix it with a little of my favorite gold spray paint!
I use this Krylon metallic gold for all kinds of things, and it did a fabulous job on this frame, too!
Ta-Da! It hit me a couple days ago that this corner would be the perfect place for it, and I’m really loving it here!
The gold frame adds the perfect reflection of light in this dark space.
Now I’m ready for a little more spring decorating, and the mantel is next on the the agenda. Have you started freshening things up for spring at your house yet?

I love how spray paint can make such a QUICK transformation and this new framed picture supports this as you demonstrate. I’ve spray painted so many things – furniture, frames, plastic furniture, summer plastic pots, floor lamps etc that it’s unbelieveable the before and after appearance.
