A Valentine’s Day Tablescape in Pink and Red
It’s true. You don’t have to twist my arm to throw a party. Once I have a theme in my head, I can run with it. And more often than not, get carried away as well. And since Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite themes ever, it’s definitely a party at our house!

It’s been years since Dave and I went out for a date on Valentine’s Day. Our tradition now is to have my family over and I make my famous filet mignon for everyone (recipe here), and there’s plenty of chocolate and hearts and all things lovely.
I do a lot of themed tables, and I almost always use paper coverings in some form. This time, I’m going with wrapping paper and paper plates from Target, as well as a few items from their Dollar Spot.
I also made a table runner from a banner paper roll like this one by adding a little “love” with a gold Sharpie and some paper tassels using my easy method I shared on my Instagram stories last week. (See the video how-to at the bottom of the post if you missed it)
You might have seen Target’s heart banner in their Dollar Spot. Well, I decided to pull the string out and use each little pennant separately for the backs of our chairs.
And the bow napkins were made using napkin rings I made from gold duck tape. (Another insta story I shared last week!)
I used my secret for full and beautiful bouquets on the roses for the centerpiece. The eucalyptus is actually from my faux stash and it makes a fabulous filler that can be used over and over!
The combination of reds and pinks is not one I use often, but Valentine’s Day is a great excuse for it, and lots of fun.
Are you setting a special table this Valentine’s Day?
