Love it, but it's too pretty for your sister to put her feet on, so she'll be out of luck again! lol 🙂 I'm glad I saw this post. I have a fabulous metal coffee table base that USED to have a glass top until two of my kids decided to SIT on the edge it while playing mario. Anyway, this is a great solution for a top. We use it in our garage/media room, so the metal will be great for spills etc out there too!
    thanks so much
    have a great week!

Oh MY Gosh! That looks fantastic! You could stencil or use vinyl letters on the metal too! {not that it needs it, but if you wanted to change it up later on down the line} Sisters, they just think they can tells us what to do all the time don't they? She had a great idea here though. It looks awesome in the space. That room is coming together so nicely. I love the way you are patient and wait for the right find. That is a virtue I some times lack.

LOVE IT! You did a great job. It made me think of using those little magnetic letters (or words) to spell out sweet little "notes" for family. Isn't it amazing what a bit of paint and ingenuity leads to? Wonderful inspiration! Diana

Very nice. Did you put a clear coat on the metal to minimize scratches, or are you just going to let it "age"?

I just saw this on Crazy Domestic and I loved it. From the first picture I was wondering how to get the sheet metal to lay so smoothly in the recesses left over from the faux tile. Bending it around another board was a great idea. What a clever way to do it. I'm going to have to try this myself sometime. Definitely returning to your site for all the other great things I see.
