That is such a wonderful idea. I love the idea of repurposing old clothing.
I'll definitely have to try this.

These photos remind me of my Aunt Jewell's photos…usually headless. Seriously, what a fun project! You create such easy to follow tutorials. Bravo!

suuper cute! the first thing i thought of was "i've seen that on pinterest". 🙂 sadly, i'm in that category of professed non-sewers. i even have a sewing machine which my hubby got for me last birthday. but then we moved and it's been sitting under a pile waiting for me to dig it out and try to learn. this project helps to inspire. 🙂

Just wondering…how do you get in it if you sew straight across the top? Maybe my hips are just too big but I don't think I could get in it if I did that. Thanks!

Looks so good because you used a HEAVY shirt–when people use lightweight men's dress shirts, they look limp and sometimes see-through as skirts–not good bottomweights!! You got a great fit, too!! I did a makeover like this a while back with a waistband, another idea for another shirt! http://www.adventuresindressmaking.com/2010/04/one-of-greatest-mens-shirt-makeovers.html
