Julie, I noticed you posted a close up of some of her book collection….at her age (i think upper teens?), what would be some great reads that she and mom could suggest for those of us with girls just 2 and 3 steps behind her?

Well, she's read many children's classics, like Peter Pan (of course), all of the Narnia series, Nancy Drew (when she was younger), and also American Girl series & mysteries when she was younger. You may have thought of those already, but I hope that helps!

Wow, I can't believe she cut all of those out! What a fun room!

Thanks, Jennifer, she's become an expert with the x-acto knife, especially with freezer paper stencils!

How cute! The silhouettes keep the room looking like a teen room. And I would have given up after trying to cut out just one…your daughter must be very patient.

What a great idea! My kids really love He-Man and She-Ra, but there are not too many He-Man/She-Ra themed decor items in stores (=

So, for their bedroom makeover this weekend I made them some silhouettes for their walls. Thanks for the great idea! http://wedontwriteonmeat.com/diy-retro-sibling-art/

I absolutely LOVE this!! My friend & I used a Mary Poppins silhouette in a different project for our work space. We put her quote of, "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun" surrounding her. It turned out beautifully! Out of curiosity, what is the bottom right silhouette? With the pink background?

Is there a certain site she used for the silhouettes?
