Christmastime in New York (& My New Favorite NYC Hotel)
If you follow me on Instagram, you know my husband and I just got back from a little weekend getaway to New York for an early Christmas gift to each other and we had a fabulous time, once again!
The last time we went to New York in December was several years ago, and it was freezing and snowing the whole time. While that was pretty, this time the weather was much better! Plus we chose a different hotel than we’ve ever stayed in before, and we loved it! So, of course, I have to share it with you all. This one is The Library Hotel, named so because it’s very near The New York Public Library. It’s a boutique-style hotel, which we like, and smaller than most in NYC, but it’s cozy and quiet, and basically a hidden gem in this city!
We stayed in a petite room and it was petite! However, it was still adequate space for the two of us, and the high ceilings make it feel more spacious.
Here’s my crazy husband, checking out the bed and showing the decor. Everything was library and book-themed, which was really cute.
Even the turn-down service at night included chocolates with library quotes!
The location was great with Bryant Park and Grand Central Station just steps away. And I did love that we were a few blocks away from the chaos of Times Square.
One of the most unique things about this hotel is that it included a continental breakfast, which is a rare find in New York as well. On the second floor, there’s a quiet lounge with tables and a piano where they serve breakfast in the morning, a reception in the afternoon, and (the best part) a cappuccino machine that you can use at any time of day!
And there is a rooftop lounge on the top floor that is even more amazing where you can go to sit by the fireplace or on the rooftop veranda!
Trust me– we’ve stayed in several hotels in New York, and although we’ve never had a bad experience in any of them, this one is our new favorite. This is not a sponsored post, nor did this hotel ask me to review them, but I’m recommending this to you all as friend to friend! You’ll love it! Click here for the website once again.
As for New York as a whole at Christmastime? A big YES from me. So much excitement everywhere you look. Here are just a few snaps of the some window displays for you…
I hope you enjoyed this little mini tour! I wish all of you could see this at some point!
(P.S. Here are the links to my favorite brown booties and my black coat that I wore all over the city! They are both on sale for great prices right now! Find my affiliate links here>> booties >>> coat)
I’m off now to finish up the house for my Christmas Tour coming up this Friday! Don’t forget to check out some of my other blogger friends as they share their Holiday Homes as well! Find the links below!

I really enjoyed that post. I love the hotel you stayed in. I want to visit New York at Christmas one time in my life. I have a cousin who lives in Brooklyn that I want to meet. We found each other on Facebook.

You are so sweet. Thank you! I actually got that sweater last year at American Eagle. I looked on their site and I don’t see it this year. Maybe you could search and find it for sale by someone!
