Fall Home Tour 2017
Hey, y’all! Thanks for stopping by my fall tour for this year! As usual, it’s a little different than last year, which was different than the year before! My plan for seasonal decor is always to go with whatever mood strikes me at that time, so even I don’t know what exactly to expect as the seasons change.
We were beginning to feel a little fall chill in the air here in Tennessee a couple weeks ago when I first started setting things out, so I was totally feeling it! Now, we’re back in the 80’s this week, and all I can think is that if I put pumpkins out on the front porch right now, they’ll be rotten before I can say Pumpkin Spice Latte. So, the porch is coming later! For now, we’ll start inside! Welcome…
There’s been a subtle shift to fall tones from the family room to the kitchen, with just a hint of plaid and pumpkins here and there.

I’m using the same citron velvet pillows that I made last year, paired with some new peacock velvet ones I found at Hobby Lobby. (And by the way, I’ve found a source for very affordable velvet pillow covers in tons of colors HERE.)
In the kitchen, I brought in some simple Autumn tones with an abstract floral painting you may have seen on my Instagram stories! Remember my recent abstract painting I shared here? Well, I made another one from the same clearance canvas art in a totally different style–still under $15! This was a really fun project to experiment with, and I hope it inspires you to pick up a brush and just try a painting of your own!
And behind the stovetop, I have my beautiful bread board from The Lyon Co.

Our hot cocoa station is now ready for when the fall temps finally arrive! If you don’t have a felt letter board yet, here is a great deal on one like mine. These are way too fun!
In the dining room, pale blues, greens, and whites are the main color palette, and my DIY faux wood sign from last year makes yet another appearance in a different look. (Click here for that easy how-to)

This was the first of many times I plan to use my new black and white striped napkins! (Find these here.) And the adorable “velvet” pumpkins are from the Target Dollar Spot here. Did you know many of these items can be bought online now?!
I set a mini white pumpkin on each place setting, along with a tiny boxwood wreath that I made from this garland.
In our piano room, I went with a totally different color scheme than I’ve done in here before for fall–pinks, pales, and neutrals.
I often get asked where I get my various cloches, which I use for all seasons. You can find several great styles and sizes here.
And lastly, out on the screened porch, I switched out the tropical theme from summer for some new fall chalkboard art and cozy fall colors.
It looks like we may have a few more nights to enjoy this space before the weather turns cold! Hope you’ve enjoyed this tour! As always, let me know if you have questions about anything here and I’ll try to answer! Happy {almost} Fall, y’all!

This tour gave me so much inspiration, thank you!
Is the letter art that you linked to the exact one that you have? I’ve been wanting to buy a quality one and that one is a great deal!

It’s not the exact one– mine was a limited quantity one from Hobby Lobby last year. But I chose that one that I linked because it had great reviews for quality. It looks just like mine!
