Easy Fall Wreath in Farmhouse Style
I’m a strong believer in a lot of things, y’all, and one of those things is the beauty and versatility of a classic green wreath on the front door! I’ve made a few green wreaths over the years, and my latest one was back in the spring when I changed it up a little by adding a farmhouse flower box. Find the original how-to for this one here…
To give it a quick change-up for fall, I decided to replace the white flowers with a few fall stems from Hobby Lobby…
I didn’t even have to take the wreaths off the door to give them this little update. (Click here to see my favorite method for hanging wreaths without damaging the door.)
The first thing I did was to simply remove the white flowers.
Next, I folded the end of the long foliage stem to shorten it, then just tucked it in on top of the flower box, letting it spill out over the edges a little.
Then, I did the same thing with this bright yellow bulb-type stem. I have no idea what these things are called, but I love pop of color it adds!
Next, I trimmed down the large purple flower a little and stuck it right in the front to fill out the box with a bold fall color…
And just for a little bit more color and texture, I ended with a little more purple filler.
And that was it! With just a few stems and about 5 minutes, I was able to change up these wreaths and give them an entirely new look for fall!
All I need now are a few more pumpkins and maybe a few mums, and this porch will be fall-ready! Do you have a fall wreath on your door yet?

I love the purple and yellow pops of color-perfect for Fall! We have door hangers (ours are pumpkins that say Welcome on them) but those don’t come out until October…right now we have Auburn Tiger burlap door hangers up! 😉

How do you attach the ribbons to the top of these doors? I have the same doors and wasn’t sure how to attach?
