Hawaiian Themed Dinner Party on the Porch (and Free Chalkboard Printable!)
I am loving the Hawaiian-themed everything, everywhere I look! Pineapples, flamingoes, banana leaf-prints, and bright colors are all right up my alley, and I’ve incorporated them into everything from my tablescapes to my wardrobe. And it’s so fitting because this summer, for the first time ever, we’re heading to Hawaii! I’m just a tad excited about that! And as usual, I’m celebrating my excitement with chalkboard art and decor.
The screened porch is our happy place during the summer months, so I decided this summer it needed the Hawaiian feel– with a little Southern hospitality thrown in, of course!

I have found some really cute tropical-themed things this season which paired perfectly with several items I already had. The banana leaf runner is this one, which has been on sale or coupon eligible for a few weeks now. And I love it with my pineapple candle holders Dave got me for our anniversary last year! Those are still available here! The cute pineapple bowl and pink beads were both gifts from sweet friends!
Believe it or not, the cobalt blue glasses were some we bought at Crate and Barrel about 20 years ago! Although those exact ones are no longer available, I did find these similar ones for a good price! And the tropical appetizer plates were only .99 each at Target! They come in 3 cute styles here. And you may remember when I shared these checked napkins at Christmas– still using them now! And they’re still available here!
And of course, I had to chalk up some new chalkboard art! There’s a free printable of this for y’all as well, if you’re loving this motif like I am. Click here to download.
I even found cute outdoor pillows in the tropical feel for the rest of the porch. These large ones were a score I found at Ross, and they go great with the other pillows I already had! (See the bottom of the post for some cute tropical pillow picks I’ve spotted for you!)
We’re looking forward to some great nights out on this porch, and maybe I’ll learn how to cook up some Hawaiian fare while we’re on our trip! Thanks to several of you who have shared your favorite must-sees in Oahu for us on my Instagram! If you have a recommendation for us, be sure to let me know!
Check out these cute tropical pillow prints!

You’ve made your porch look really, really tropical 🙂 I love the pineapple candle holders, and the little plates from Target – oh, if only Target had them here in Australia! You are very talented with that chalkboard drawing – well done – 🙂
