We’ve been very busy this week, making lots of progress in Lily’s room for the One Room Challenge, and it’s beginning to really take on an entirely new look!

Over the weekend, you may have seen on my Instagram how we switched out her old chandelier for this new one, and it is fabulous!!  (Click here for chandelier source–affiliate link.)

The gold finish is exactly what I wanted, and with 16 bulbs, it definitely gives off great light!  We even installed a dimmer switch so Lily can adjust it if needed.

In other big news, we’ve got a striped wall!  Since custom wall murals are one of the many services we offer at our graphics company, my husband has been asking me for years to let him do some murals in our house.  Now, he may get tired of doing them because I’ve been all about accent walls recently.  More on this in a couple weeks for the reveal!

And, since Lily’s’ sweet pale green desk I painted for her years ago doesn’t quite fit the new color scheme, it got another makeover as well!

Sherwin William’s Jolly Green was the choice Lily helped me decide on, and it’s just perfect!

And with a little gold spray paint on the old hardware, it’s just right as well!  Even Scout gives his approval!

It’s the perfect rich lime color we were envisioning, and we may or may not have just sat and stared at it for awhile.

We’re getting down to the wire, and I can’t wait to show you all what else is in the works!  Stay tuned!! And be sure to check out the other One Room Challenge participants here!
