Luxe Pink and Lilac Bedroom (The Look for Less)
As a mom of 3 girls, I’ve decorated and re-decorated my share of girly rooms. And I love it! And when I’m browsing Pinterest, this girly style often catches my eye! That was the case for this gorgeous room by designer Tara Fingold, featured by Style at Home Magazine.
And while the luxe style looks fabulous, it doesn’t work for most budgets! So, I did a little research and came up with an inspiration board for this room for the Less-Than-Luxe budget!

The first thing in the room that caught my eye was the gorgeous headboard. A custom piece like this can cost thousands, but I found a similar look in this tufted pale pink version at Target.com for way less! (It comes in several other colors as well.)
As for bedding, the layers are key for a luxe look, but the cost of many layers can add up fast! Starting with a blush-colored duvet like this one from H&M Home, and then adding ruffled shams like these from Bed, Bath, & Beyond, a throw pillow like this one from Etsy, and finally a silver blanket for the end of the bed like this one from Overstock will be a fabulous look for less than $200!
As an alternative to an expensive bone inlay side table, this carved wood nightstand from Urban Outfitters fits the look for a much better price! And for an affordable white gourd lamp, this option from Lamps Plus is just right.
For the window, a pair of these jacquard bark texture panels from West Elm would be a great option as an alternative to designer treatments. The price for each panel starts at $59, and coupon codes and free shipping can make them an even better deal!
As for a rug, designer styles can cost thousands, but this bold statement rug in gorgeous over-dyed pink is only $126! And for an end-of-the-bed bench that will fit almost every budget, this one is a beautiful choice!
I hope this inspires you if you’re styling a look like this anytime soon! I’m planning to do a little more of these “The Look for Less” posts in the near future. And if you have an inspiration room you’d like for me to do, email me a pic and yours could be next!
