It’s about time to bust out the red, white, and blue and get the flags wavin’! I put together a little vignette to say “Happy Birthday, America!” with some simple lettering, and there are free printables for those of you who like some foryourselves!

On our recentvacation, we stopped at some of the mosthistorical spots in America, includingFort McHenry inBaltimore, which was the site of the battle and the American flag that firstinspired Francis Scott Key to pen the words to “The Star-Spangled Banner”.

We were able to be there for the morning flagraising, which is a hugeundertaking. It required approximately 70 of us together to raise the huge 30’x40′ flagand it was an amazing experience! I highly recommend it to anyone! We will never forget that.

Our trip also included Independence Hall in Philadelphia…

The Liberty Trail in Boston…

And the original Star-Spangled Banner in Washington…

(Yes, we were all over!)

So, I’ve hadplenty ofpatriotic inspiration to bring home! If you’d like a little for your home, too, I have links to freeprintables for you below!
