Colorful Kids’ Thanksgiving Tablescape
My family knows–when it’s Thanksgiving at our house, it’s my husband who dresses the turkey and me who dresses the tables. And while I love putting together a formal tablescape for the adults, it’s even more fun to decorate the kids’ table!
We celebrated Thanksgiving a little early with my side of the family this past weekend while my sister was in town and that always means a house full of girls! So, we needed a good girly table for Thanksgiving. (Here’s my mom with all hergrand girls!)
Just like with the black poster board before, I covered the table with plain white poster boards this time, with my favorite kind of runner for the center: wrapping paper!
Each place setting started with a colorful 12×12 patterned paper (all from Hobby Lobby), layered with paper plates and cups and a napkin.
The centerpiece was my head vase filled with greenery from the yard. And I made a thankful banner for a little color!
I just used some die cut feathers, ribbon, and stickers (all from Hobby Lobby)…
And for a colorful treat for the girls to keep, Lily and Lola and I made some easy tassel necklaces.
Also from Hobby Lobby, I just bought some colorful beads and cording, and some adorable tassels.
The girls just strung them on, we tied a knot to hold the beads in place, then tied a bow to finish!
I dressed up the plain white cups just a little with a die cut feather and the place cards were also from (of course) Hobby Lobby.
I hope this gives you a little inspiration for your kids’ table! For ideas for the grown-ups,check out that tablescape here!
