My Christmas Tour 2014!
Hey, y’all! I’m thrilled you’ve stopped by for my annual Christmas tour! I D-I-Y my heart out at Christmastime, and like I explained last year on my Christmas tour, it’s all for good reason.
Every paper-crafted, chalk-written, or ribbon-tied detail is just my way of celebrating the most wonderful time of the year and the Savior whomakes it so!
My family anticipates the transformation that takes place in our house this time of year, and they join right into the merry-making.
So, welcome! I hope you’ll be able to feel the joy as well!
Since I’ve shared so many pics, I’m just letting them speak for themselves, but as always, if you have questions about some of these rooms or projects, just let me know! Thanks for stopping by.
I’ll be part of the Holiday Open House at 11 Magnolia Lane tomorrow, so be sure to stop over there and see all the other tours!
Merry Christmas, friends! May Jesus truly be the reason you’re celebrating this Christmas and may the message of His life characterize ours as well– every day of the year!
Linking this up at Kelly’s Korner, Dimplesand Tangles, and the Nester!

Amen! I love your "home for the holidays" sign! And seriously, where did you find the wrapping paper? Hubby loves that tartan color scheme and I have not found that type of wrapping paper here in Germany. Your home is lovely and I believe my kids would love a cocoa station 😉
Julie

Thanks, Kay! The paper is from TJ Maxx! Do you have them in Germany?! I hope so! Glad you like the cocoa station, too!

Absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! In particular, all of your chalkboard writings and especially the strip of writing on your mantle. Is that black craft paper? Also adored the deer cutouts on your plates hanging on the wall. How did you do those? The Christmas balls in the gumball machine and the cocoa station are so cute! Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks so much, Pam! That ribbon on the mantel is a black ribbon from Hobby Lobby that works great as a chalkboard! I used it & talked about it here:
http://lessthanperfectlifeofbliss.blogspot.com/2014/12/christmas-wreaths-with-diy-chalkboard.html
And the plates were done with chalkboard contact paper & a reindeer silhouette! I told more about them here:

So glad you like it!

Thanks, Kathy!! That sign is made from chalkboard coasters I found in Target's Dollar Spot 🙂 I just clipped them on a string with red clothespins!

What variety of Christmas tree do you get? They are so beautiful and I've never seen them at our Christmas tree farms in Oregon. (Because I couldn't track one down like yours, we ended up going on an adventure to the forest to cut down our first "wild" Christmas tree (: Merry Christmas!)

Ours are Frasier Firs from North Carolina! We just buy ours at a store, but going on an adventure sounds fun! 🙂

I hope this doesn't post twice. I think I lost my original post when I signed in to Google…sorry if it does!
These ideas are gorgeous, and I will definitely be putting some to use this Christmas. My husband and I will be moving into our brand new home in about 4 weeks, so it's time to start getting some Christmas decorating projects ready!
About how long does the artificial garland and greenery last in doors. I typically like to start decorating right after Thanksgiving.
Thank you for sharing your love of Christ to so many through your blog! What an awesome thing to see!

Hi, Mandy! Congrats on the new house! The artificial greenery should last from the end of November to Christmas, but it does kinda depend on how fresh it is when you get it, and the temperature in your house. Keep trees watered well and you can mist the garlands if you feel like they're drying out too fast. Have fun decorating this year!
